Graz – die Stadt der roten Dächer und ... Superhelden?
Schwingt sich da gerade Peter Parker alias Spider-Man durch die Murmetropole?
Ja, genau. Nick Fury behauptet nämlich, in der steirischen Hauptstadt sei ein „Artefakt von kosmischer Bedeutung“ versteckt. Und weil Iron Man… nun ja… nicht mehr erreichbar ist und Thor lieber Bier als Hinweise sammelt, darf Spider-Man mal wieder den Babysitter für ein Weltuntergangsproblem spielen – und du folgst seiner Spur. Pack deine Illusionskräfte aus, finde die klebrigen Hinweise, die Spider-Man an manchen Stellen hinterlässt, und suche das finale „Artefakt“.
Hinweis für Superheld:innen: Für dieses Abenteuer sind QR-Reader und Internetverbindung erforderlich. Die klebrigen Hinweise sind gut beschildert und eindeutig mit dem Geocaching-Logo gekennzeichnet. Bitte nehmt sie nicht ab, da sie sonst nicht mehr kleben. Sie lassen sich auch von weiterer Entfernung gut scannen. Da Graz eine stickerreiche Stadt ist, bitte um Hinweise und Nachsicht, sollten Codes nicht (mehr) auffindbar sein. Der Bewegungsradius dieser Mission beträgt ca. 4 Kilometer und ist am besten zu Fuß absolvierbar. Das Terrain-Rating bezieht sich auf die Strecke und basiert auf der Annahme, dass die Strecke vollständig zu Fuß absolviert wird. Es ist kein zusätzliches Heldenwissen nötig.

Stage 1: Blob aus dem All

Du startest hier, wo Peter abrupt stehen geblieben ist: „Whoa, das Ding sieht aus, als hätte Venom sich zu viel Sushi gegönnt! Oder ist das ein Alien-Ei?“ Das Grazer Kunsthaus glänzt wie ein blauer Blob, der direkt aus Guardians of the Galaxy gefallen ist. Aus der Parkgarage schallt ein SOS-Signal: „Bin ich Kunst oder Blob? Das weiß man nur – mit einem Blick von der Mur!“
Stage 2: Wakanda am Fluss

Mit ein paar eleganten Schwüngen schwingt sich Spider-Man zur Insel. Er rennt über die futuristische Brücke – eindeutig aus Vibranium gefertigt. Sie wirkt wie ein Stück Wakanda-Technologie mitten in der Mur. Doch statt Panther-Krieger:innen findet er nur Selfie-Tourist:innen, die ihn anstarren. Peter macht trotzdem ein Selfie mit Enten im Hintergrund. „#WakandaForever – warte, falsches Franchise… ach egal.“
In den Querstreben des Brückengeländers findet Peter neben einem Geocache einen Zettel mit Krallenspuren: „Willst du hoch hinauf, musst du wohl auf diesen Berg rauf.“ Peter verdreht die Augen: „Ich hätte Iron Man echt mal fragen sollen, ob er mir ein Jetpack baut.“
Stage 3: Der furchtlose Krieger

Keuchend – naja, ein bisschen Show muss sein – schwingt sich Spider-Man den Schlossberg hinauf.
„Okay, Graz… ihr habt ’nen Uhrturm? Nice, der wäre in Queens schon längst voller Graffiti.“
Peter sieht sich um und erschreckt kurz vor dem Riesen vor ihm – wer ist das, wer steht da mit Schwert „furchtlos und treu“?
Er bringt eine Botschaft für den Avenger: „Gut gemacht, Peter. Aber du musst in die Tiefe – dort, wo Zeit und Sterne verschmelzen.“ – „Zeit und Sterne? Wenn jetzt Physik und Mathematik kommen, bin ich raus.“
Stage 4: Die magische Milchstraße
📍 N 47° 04.430′ E 15° 26.492′
Peter stolpert den Schlossberg hinunter auf den Platz: „Also… entweder das ist Kunst oder Strange hat seine Wohnzimmer-Deko hier vergessen.“ Die Sonnenuhr sieht wie eine kleine Milchstraße aus – mystisch, fast wie ein Portal, und tatsächlich – ein mystisches Siegel erscheint im Licht.
Doctor Stranges Stimme erklingt: „Nur wer den Pfad der Freiheit erkennt, findet die Basis von S.H.I.E.L.D.“ – „Cool, die Sterne reden mit mir. Genau das hat mir noch gefehlt – Stimmen im Kopf.“
Stage 5: Die Brieftaube von S.H.I.E.L.D.

Im Stadtpark schwingt Spider-Man durch die Bäume. „Wirklich schön hier. Fury hat echt Geschmack – ein Headquarter mitten im Grünen. Fast schade, dass ich keine Picknickdecke dabei habe.“ Vor ihm erhebt sich das Befreiungsdenkmal. In der Abendsonne wirkt es wie ein codiertes S.H.I.E.L.D.-Monument.
Auf der Rückseite der Beschreibungstafel ist ein Adler eingraviert: „Deine Mission endet dort, wo der Schild noch immer geworfen wird fort.“
⚠️ Dieser Ort kann aufgrund der Tageszeit eingeschränkt verfügbar sein. Im Winter ist der Ort (meistens) nur über den Eingang durch die Burg erreichbar.

⚠️ Es müssen keine Privatgrundstücke betreten oder Zäune überklettert werden. Kleine Superheld:innen könnten Hilfe benötigen. ⚠️
Achtet bitte beim Heben des "Artefakts" auf Muggel und versteckt es genauso, wie ihr es gefunden habt, damit auch Held:innen nach euch die Mission erfolgreich abschließen können.
Die Handlung ist frei erfunden. Etwaige Ähnlichkeiten mit Heldenfiguren, tatsächlichen Begebenheiten oder mit lebenden oder verstorbenen Personen wären rein zufällig.
Sticky Graz
Graz – the city of red roofs and ... superheroes?
Is that Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, swinging through the Mur metropolis?
Yes, exactly. Nick Fury claims that an “artifact of cosmic significance” is hidden in the Styrian capital. And because Iron Man... well... is no longer available and Thor prefers collecting beer to clues, Spider-Man once again has to play babysitter for an apocalyptic problem – and you follow his trail. Unleash your powers of illusion, find the sticky clues Spider-Man leaves behind in some places, and search for the final “artifact.”
Note for superheroes: A QR reader and internet connection are required for this adventure. The sticky clues are well signed and clearly marked with the geocaching logo. Please don't remove them, as they will no longer stick. They can also be scanned easily from a distance. Since Graz is a city rich in stickers, please let me know if any stickers are no longer there. The radius of this mission is approximately 4 kilometers and is best completed on foot. The terrain rating refers to the route and is based on the assumption that the route will be completed entirely on foot. No additional sci-fi knowledge is required.

Stage 1: Blob from outer space

You start where Peter abruptly stopped: “Whoa, that thing looks like Venom ate too much sushi! Or is it an alien egg?” The Kunsthaus in Graz shines like a blue blob that fell straight out of Guardians of the Galaxy. An SOS signal echoes from the underground parking: “Am I art or a blob? You find the answer, for sure, by looking at it from the Mur!”
Stage 2: Wakanda by the river
📍 N 47° 04.417′ E 15° 26.042′
Spider-Man swings himself onto the island with a few elegant swings. He runs across the futuristic bridge—clearly made of vibranium. It looks like a piece of Wakanda technology in the middle of the Mur. But instead of Panther warriors, he finds only selfie tourists staring at him. Peter takes a selfie anyway, with ducks in the background. “#WakandaForever – wait, wrong franchise ...”
Peter finds a geocache in the crossbars of the bridge railing and notices also a note with claw marks: “If you want to go high, you'll have to climb this mountain – you can't fly.” Peter grumbles: “I really should have asked Iron Man to build me a jetpack.”
Stage 3: The fearless warrior

Gasping for breath—well, a little showmanship is necessary—Spider-Man swings himself up the Schlossberg. “Okay, Graz... you have a clock tower? Nice, in Queens it would have been covered in graffiti by now.”
Peter looks around and is briefly startled by the giant in front of him – who is that, standing there with a sword, “fearless and loyal”?
He has a message for the Avenger: “Well done, Peter. But you must go into the depths – where time and stars come together.” – “Time and stars? If physics and mathematics come into play now, I'm out.”
Stage 4: The magical Milky Way

Peter stumbles down the castle hill onto the square: “So... either this is art or Strange forgot his living room decor here.” The sundial looks like a small Milky Way – mystical, almost like a portal, and indeed – a mystical seal appears in the light.
Doctor Strange's voice rings out: “Only those who recognize the path to freedom will find the base of S.H.I.E.L.D.” – “Cool, the stars are talking to me. Just what I needed – voices in my head.”
Stage 5: The carrier pigeon of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Spider-Man swings through the trees in the city park. “It's really beautiful here. Fury has great taste – a headquarters surrounded by greenery. It's almost a shame I don't have a picnic blanket with me.” The Liberation Monument rises up before him. It looks like a coded S.H.I.E.L.D. monument in the evening sun.
An eagle is engraved on the back of the information panel: “Your mission ends where the shield is still being thrown.”
⚠️ This location may have limited availability depending on the time of day. In winter, this area is (usually) only accessible via the entrance through the castle.

Wait a minute ... What is he staring at?
