Das Geocaching HQ veranstaltet wieder ein Geocaching International Film Festival!
Mehr als 60 Filmemacher aus 21 Ländern haben einen Film eingereicht für das 11. alle zwei Jahre stattfindende Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF). Nach reiflicher Überlegung hat die Jury nun die 20 Finalisten des diesjährigen GIFF ausgesucht. Diese Filme zeichnen sich aus durch ihre Kreativität, Produktionsqualität, Inhalte und den Beitrag zur globalen Geocaching Community.
Die Vorführung der Finalisten-Filme im Rahmen des GIFF-Events dauert jeweils zirka EINE Stunde!

Nicht vergessen, für den Besuch eines GIFF Events gibt es auch heuer wieder ein entsprechendes virtuelles Souvenir von Groundspeak!
Außerdem zählt das GIFF-Event bei den Treasures „Eiersuche“ bzw. „GIFF feiern“!
Getränke, Popcorn, Süßigkeiten und was sonst noch zu einem Kinoerlebnis notwendig ist, können direkt vor Ort im Lichtspielhaus gekauft werden!
Die GIFF-Filme werden im Rahmen einer Privatvorführung gezeigt. Die Tickets werden uns vom Betreiber zum Sonderpreis (Unkostenbeitrag) von EUR 5,00 pro Person/Platz angeboten!
Hinweis zur Barrierefreiheit:
Die Filmvorfühung findet im 1. Stock - im kleinen Saal - statt! Es gibt aber einen Treppenlift, sodass das Event auch barrierefrei und für RollstuhlfaherInnen zugänglich ist!
Leider steht der große Kinosaal (130 Sitzplätze) wegen einer Theater-Produktion nicht zur Verfügung, daher weichen wir in den kleinen Kinosaal (25 Sitzplätze) aus. Damit möglichst viele GeocacherInnen die Möglichkeit bekommen, die GIFF-Filme zu sehen, wird es daher mehrere Filmvorführungen geben!
Ich ersuche daher, mit dem "will attend" unbedingt anzuführen:
- ERSTE oder ZWEITE Vorstellung sowie
- Anzahl der Personen/Plätze
geplanter ABLAUF:
- 17:00 Uhr: offizieller Event-Start (Logbuch)
- 17:30 Uhr: ERSTE Vorführung
- 19:00 Uhr: ZWEITE Vorführung
- 20:30 Uhr: DRITTE Vorführung (--> nur falls nötig, wenn die ersten beiden Vorführungen bereits ausgebucht sind!)

Geocaching HQ is once again hosting the Geocaching International Film Festival!
More than 60 filmmakers from 21 countries have submitted a film for the 11th biennial Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF). After careful consideration, the jury has now selected the 20 finalists for this year's GIFF. These films stand out for their creativity, production quality, content and contribution to the global geocaching community.
The screening of the finalist films as part of the GIFF event will last approximately ONE hour!

Souvenir!
Don't forget, if you attend a GIFF event, you will receive a virtual souvenir from Groundspeak again this year!
The GIFF event also counts towards the ‘Egg Hunt’ and ‘Celebrate GIFF’ treasures!
Drinks, popcorn, sweets and everything else you need for a cinema experience can be purchased directly at the Lichtspielhaus!
The GIFF films will be shown as part of a private screening. The operator is offering us tickets at a special price (contribution towards costs) of EUR 5.00 per person/seat!
Note on accessibility:
The film screening will take place on the 1st floor – in the small auditorium! However, there is a stair lift, so the event is also barrier-free and accessible for wheelchair users!
Unfortunately, the large cinema auditorium (130 seats) is not available due to a theatre production, so we are moving to the small cinema auditorium (25 seats). To give as many geocachers as possible the opportunity to see the GIFF films, there will be several screenings!
I therefore ask you to indicate with your ‘will attend’ response:
- ERSTE (=first) or ZWEITE (=second) screening run-through AND
- number of people/seats needed
Planned schedule:
- 5:00 p.m.: official start of the event (logbook)
- 5:30 p.m.: FIRST run-through
- 7:00 p.m.: SECOND run-through
- 8:30 p.m.: THIRD run-through (--> only available, if the first two demonstrations are already fully booked!)

Für die Nachbesprechung der Filme, das gesellige Beisammensein und die üblichen "Fachgespräche" können wir das "Atrium" der Lichtspiele Katsdorf nutzen bzw. wird das Café im Erdgeschoß extra für uns etwas länger geöffnet bleiben. Selbstverständlich besteht aber kein Konsumationszwang - abgesehen vom Kino-Ticket!
NOTE:
For the post-film discussion, social gathering and the usual ‘technical discussions’, we can use the ‘Atrium’ at Lichtspiele Katsdorf, and the café on the ground floor will stay open a little longer especially for us. Of course, there is no obligation to purchase anything – apart from the cinema ticket!
TBs können ebenfalls sehr gerne mitgebracht, discovert oder getauscht werden!
Trackables are also very welcome to be brought along, discovered or exchanged!
