[LV] Pētot senās kartes - redzams, ka jau pagājušā gadsimta sākumā šajā vietā ir bijušas ūdensdzirnavas, kārtīgs uzpludinājums Raudas upē, te gājis pietiekami liels ceļš un blakus atradies krogs un daudzas citas viensētas. Taču mūsdienās šo vietu varētu drīzāk dēvēt par vienu no daudzajām Latvijas nekurienēm - plaši mežu masīvi, pamestas viensētas un saglabājušās gana interesants tā laiku dzirnavu drupas, kā arī gājēju tiltiņš mo Padomju laikiem.
Lai atrastu slēpni - dodies līdz piebraucamajam ceļam un tad, izvērtējot sezonu, laika apstākļus un sava auto spējas, tālāk līdz norādītajam stāvvietas punktam - tur jau būsi praktiski pie paša slēpņa. Slēpnis atrodas sienas fragmentā, kurš saglabājies līdz pat mūsdienām. Slēpņa vietu atstāj tādu pašu kā atradi!
[EN] Studying old maps shows that already at the beginning of the last century this place had a watermill, a proper dam on the Rauda River, a fairly large road running through, as well as a tavern and many farmsteads nearby. Nowadays, however, the area could rather be called one of Latvia’s many “middle-of-nowhere” places—vast forest masses, abandoned homesteads, yet still preserving interesting mill ruins from those times, along with a pedestrian bridge from the Soviet era.
To find the cache—go to the access road and then, depending on the season, weather conditions, and your car’s capabilities, continue to the designated parking point—there you’ll already be practically at the cache. The cache is hidden in a wall fragment that has survived to this day. Leave the hiding spot exactly as you found it!
