This marks the last relatively easy section before the trail begins to climb. The Midstate Trail intersects nearby, offering access to a broader regional network. The forest canopy begins to thin slightly as elevation increases. Crow Hill’s cliffs are not yet visible but lie just beyond. The area is quieter than the trailhead, with fewer visitors.
