October 7th marks the anniversary of the most lopsided score in the history of college football. On that date in 1916, Georgia Tech defeated Cumberland College by a final score of 222-0. The game was an obvious mismatch even before it began, as Cumberland College had disbanded its football program the year before. However, they were still legally obligated to play the game against the clearly superior Georgia Tech Squad, and the Georgia Tech coach refused to accept a forfeit. As such, Cumberland put forth players with no prior football experience against a talented and competitive college football team.
Do some simple research about this legendary blowout to get the cache coordinates. We will almost never see a college or pro sports contest this hopelessly mismtached in out lifetimes. Hope you enjoy.
