SideTracked - Epping Multi-Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Jackscruff: After yesterday's WN I did a drive by this afternoon.
There is a barricade around the GZ area. I wonder what they are doing?
There were no workers around while I was here so I wasn't able to find out when the work will be completed.

Disabling the cache until the barrier is removed.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Epping

In 1792 Governor Phillip granted land to marines in what is now Epping, Ryde and Marsfield and called the area Field of Mars. Much of it was developed as farmland and market gardens with the establishment of plant nurseries being a prominent industry. After several name changes the area known today as Epping became known with the name being chosen as a large part of the area was thickly wooded and reminded the English settlers of Epping Forest in the homeland.

After the railway came through Epping gradually changed to a residential suburb.

Epping Station

With the opening of the Main North Railway Line a station was built slightly north of the current location, opening as Field of Mars on the 17th September, 1886. After much discussion suggesting names such as Corella and East Lynne the name was changed to Carlingford on the 5th April, 1887. In 1899 the name of Epping was officially recognised by the Government for the suburb. The same year the station was moved to it's current location and renamed Epping in line with the new suburb.

In 1928 additional platforms were added and an overhead booking office was built. On the 23rd February, 2009 underground platforms were opened in conjunction with the opening of the new Chatswood to Epping rail line. In 2018 these platforms were converted for Metro use and reopened as part of the North-West Metro line in 2019.

To find this cache look around the vicinity of the station and the platforms to find the following information. Remember to tap on and off with your Opal card when you enter the station. Tapping off will reverse the transaction and there is no charge.

A = the number of indicator boards under the "Which Platform" sign

B = the number of maroon doors on the original platform building

C = the number of platforms at this station (count carefully)

Once you have all 3 answers click on the Certitude checker below and enter them as one string of 3 numbers, no spaces, to receive the final GZ co-ordinates.

At GZ you are looking down on the location of the original station.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
