The Mandalorian, a bounty hunter, and IG-11, a bounty droid, attempt to collect the bounty on "The Client" they were told was 50 years old. They were shocked to discover their target was a baby. Din Djarin refuses to kill a child. Throughout the series many attempts are made to kidnap, harm, or kill the Child, but as many parents understand, it takes a village to raise, teach, and protect our children. In the Mandalorian series, there are many individuals that Din Djarin relies on to assist him as he takes on the role of an adoptive parent. IG-11 is destroyed and salvaged four times before becoming the Child's protector and nurse as IG-12. Din Djarin digs deeper into his culture as Mandalorian and protective father. The Child, the same species as Yoda, is known as Grogu, and forsakes his Jedi training with Luke Skywalker to follow the Mandalorians. The Mandalorian Creed, "This is the way" signifies their adherence to a strict code of honor, courage, tradition, and loyalty.
