Hello and Welcome to OK Ward Park
This park has hosted such a wide variety of events outside of geocaching, but never a CITO (Cache In Trash Out). Well it's time to change that and get this park cleaned up and all the trash picked. We're going to mix it up and encourage people to use their creative flair to show off the various (TOTTs) Tools of the Trade you can use for a CITO. There's a littany of different gloves out on the market including leather work gloves, gardenning gloves, disposble nitrile gloves, and disposable latex gloves. Then you have the grabbing tools and even sticks with a spike on the end for stabbing through the trash like a receipt stack.
This park is home to Brooklyn's playground - a wheelchair accessible playground. A lot of the places we'll be gathering trash will be over soft grassy terrain that isn't too friendly to wheelchairs, but there is plenty of areas needing cleaning accessible from a wheelchair.
Some trash bags and nitrile gloves will be provided, as well as water and some light snacks at the end. But feel free to bring your own stuff - especially unusual TOTTs for collecting trash.
I will take all trash collected home with me for disposal, same with recycling. Should we find any hazardous material we will work with the Portneuf River Vision on how best to handle it.
