The Hawaiian Sloth is a critically endangered species. Sadly, there are less than 10 individual sloths remaining on Big Island. The leaves and seed pods of the Kiawe tree are their main food source. However, they have adapted to supplementing their diet with Spam Musubi. If you approach the GZ with a Musubi in hand, you may be able to coax one of these shy animals down for a much coveted selfie.
💚 Every favorite point you donate will be used to help ensure the survival of the Hawaiian Sloth. 💚
