Geocache Description:

On July 29th 2011 my Dad and I set out to find our first geocache.  We had heard about this “treasure hunt” from some friends and really wanted to try it out.  We printed cache pages from the home computer and used our car GPS to navigate.  Somehow with our janky setup, we managed to find an illusive magnet on a power box.  After that find we were hooked.  Since then, we’ve gone on countless adventures.  We tackled dozens of covered bridges, hiked hundreds of miles, and cached our way down the east coast.  And now as of June 2nd 2025, we’ve found 1000 geocaches.  I’m placing this cache to celebrate the occasion, but also to say thank you.  Thank you Dad for the countless hours you spent prepping our adventures.  Thank you for making it a priority to take me out on adventures even after a grueling day at work.  You’ve instilled in me an incredible love for the outdoors, and you’ve given me thousands of wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.  I love you Dad.

As for the caching specifics, this cache is placed in Money Rocks County Park.  The easiest way to access this cache is by taking the overlook trail down to the bottom of the massive rocks and take a right.  It’s not currently a marked trail, but it appears to have been one at some point.  Follow the trail until you get to GZ.  There a tons of rocks as you approach GZ so just be careful and watch your footing.  The cache is a green ammo container hidden amoungst the rocks.  Feel free to bring trackables and anything else you’d like to add to the box.  As of placing this cache, the illusive running rabbit key is inside.  Please don’t take this trackable unless you plan on tackling Sitting Rock “GC6VVVB”.  Also, feel free to post photos from your adventure.  Depending on the time of year, you may have a beautful view of the quarry.  If not, don’t fear.  It’s still an incredibly scenic spot regardless of the foliage.  Thanks to everyone who comes out for this one, good luck and have fun!
