2025 Geocaching International Film Festival - GEOregon Edition

Tickets, please! Come on down to the Brookwood Library and catch a showing of the latest and greatest hits of 2025 - the Geocaching International Film Festival!

GIFF celebrates cachers near and far, and this will be the 11th biannual showing of films. What began as a small film festival in Seattle (all the way back in 2013) has grown to a international level, with cachers showcasing what they love most about geocaching! Films submitted to Geocaching HQ highlight a cacher's creativity and talents, and are selected by a panel of judges. This year in particular marks 25 years of Geocaching, so the GIFF theme is "TFTC - Thanks For The Community!" Check out the trailer here - GIFF 2025 Trailer

We'll be watching this year's GIFF films on the projector screen inside the Brookwood Library. The films will last about an hour long, but GEOregon will have more going on before and after the showing, so stay tuned! There's 20 finalists this year, and once the films are finished you'll be able to vote on your favorites:

We'll also be having our elections for the 2026 GEOregon Board. Here's what you need to know:

• Elections are held at our November meeting.
• Officers are elected by a simple majority vote of current (2025) GEOregon Members.
• Members who cannot attend can vote electronically up to one hour before the start of the election meeting via email to the GEO Board (GEOregon@gmail.com) or by GEO electronic media (i.e., website, Facebook and other social media). Electronic votes are kept private within the GEO Board.
• Members in attendance at the event will be provided with paper ballots for private voting. Individual Memberships receive one ballot and Family Memberships recieve two ballots.

Meeting Agenda.......The event will officially begin at 1:30pm at the event room located in the Brookwood Library (2850 NE Brookwood Pkwy, Hillsboro, OR 97124). As the Annual Meeting of the Membership, we will hold annual Board Elections (see above), and the Treasurer will present the Annual Financial Report and 2026 Budget. There will also be raffles exclusively for GEOregon members of some great geocaching SWAG.

After our regular meeting, we'll move into the GIFF film showing. Additional SWAG and other caching supplies will also be availble at our onsite GEOregon Store!
