It's our 13th annual WA Goes BIG Event, and you're invited! Pencil in your calendar and keep it free, Join us in Katanning for an action packed weekend of geocaching fun as we celebrate everything Geocaching in Western Australia.
WAGB is an annual festival of Geocaching held at different locations around Western Australia. We put on a range of free activites for the community suitable for beginners through to more experienced geocachers that will keep you entertained and the best bit is that it's free to attend!
Where: Katanning Town Hall, Austral Tce Katanning WA 6317
When: Sunday 27th September 2026
The weekend will kick off on Friday 25th September with a sundowner event, and the fun will continue right through until Monday 28th September
If it's your first time, we recommend you attend for the whole weekend for maximum fun. But if you can't make all of it, the highlight of the weekend will be our free community lunch event on Sunday.
WAGB 2026 Event Schedule
Whether it's your first WAGB or your 13th, we'll ensure it's a ripper weekend with plenty of activities and events!
Activities will include information sessions (including Introduction to Geocaching, Meet a Well Known Local Hider and Intro to Puzzle solving). Kids activites, colouring competitions and the opportunity to swap pathtags with other attendees.
Event organisers are also planning tours of the local area.
As always we will have a FREE Celebration Meal to recognise all the great parts of Geocaching in Western Australia including awarding West Oz Geocaching - Cache of the Year.
Our full event schedule will be released on our website 3 months prior to the event in June 2026.
