This virtal cache is a manmade item placed within 20 feet of a well marked path. It was placed here over 123 years ago because of two Acts of Congress. Easy in the winter but beware of Poison Ivy in the summer.
On my first hike of the Lewis and Clark trail my friend Dewman68 and I were disappointed because of prescribed burns done by the local land management. One such area is near some awesome overlooks of the Missouri River. While returning from the rock outcrop we noticed an object off the trail that seemed very out of place. Curiosity caused us to inspect it more. Further research lead us to learn it was placed here the week of May 6, 1879. I am still hunting for more information on this object and would be delighted by any someone else might have.
