Estação do Algoz
Nos finais do século XIX, foi estudada a construção do Ramal de Portimão, que deveria ligar a o camminho de Ferro do sul à vila de Portimão, tendo sido desde logo programada a instalação de uma gare para servir a localidade de Algoz O troço entre Algoz e Tunes foi inaugurado em 10 de Outubro de 1899. O comboio inaugural, constituído pela locomotiva n.º 14, um furgão e uma carruagem de passageiros de cada classe, saiu de Tunes às 5 horas e 15 minutos da manhã, e chegou à estação de Algoz cerca de um quarto de hora depois, onde foi recebido por uma grande quantidade de população e pelas autoridades locais; a estação foi decorada para o efeito, e a cerimónia contou com a presença de vários altos funcionários dos Caminhos de Ferro do Estado, incluindo o chefe do movimento, Honorato de Sousa. O comboio saiu da estação às 5 horas e 40 minutos, para a viagem de regresso. Esta foi a estação terminal provisória do ramal até 19 de Março de 1900, data em que entrou ao serviço o lanço seguinte, até Poço Barreto. Em 1913, existiam serviços de diligências ligando a estação a Alcantariçha, Guia e Pêra. Em 1933, foram aprovadas obras de calcetamento do cais desta interface, que ainda apresentava, nessa altura, a categoria de estação. Algoz manteve a categoria de estação até pelo menos 1988, apresentando categoria de apeadeiro já em 2010.

Algoz Station
At the end of the 19th century, the construction of the Portimão Branch Line was studied, which would connect the Southern Railway to the town of Portimão, and the installation of a station to serve the town of Algoz was immediately planned. The section between Algoz and Tunes was inaugurated on October 10, 1899. The inaugural train, consisting of locomotive no. 14, a van and a passenger carriage of each class, left Tunes at 5:15 a.m. and arrived at Algoz station about a quarter of an hour later, where it was welcomed by a large number of residents and local authorities. The station was decorated for the occasion, and the ceremony was attended by several high-ranking State Railway officials, including the head of the movement, Honorato de Sousa. The train left the station at 5:40 a.m. for the return trip. This was the temporary terminus of the branch line until March 19, 1900, when the next section, to Poço Barreto, entered service. In 1913, stagecoach services connected the station to Alcantariçha, Guia, and Pêra. In 1933, paving work was approved on the quay at this intersection, which at that time still had the status of a station. Algoz maintained its status as a station until at least 1988, becoming a halt in 2010.
