Geocache Description:

Mission Change : Waystation, Safe house and T-bug close protection/bodyguard duties in NW part of built up area. Dismount for final approach, beware of vehicle traffic and covert observation posts.

SITUATION
In one of Edmontons’ small neighborhood parks, an elite platoon of Micro-Commandos have been inserted on a special operations mission. Having been inserted into Landing Zone Whiskey, they require assistance from local Geocaching operatives in conducting “E & E” –Escape and Evasion -towards their assigned objectives and the subsequent accomplishment of their missions. Their mission is to disperse, and relocate to as many caches around Alberta as possible, while escorting T-bugs. The above co-ordinates will get you to the concrete LZ; the actual cache will require an area sweep of the surrounding terrain by your unit.
MISSION:
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, as a Geocache operative, is to locate the Micro-Commandos hide location, and assist them in finding T bugs to escort and relocating them to other caches throughout the area. These troops are not travel bugs; feel free to either relocate them or keep them as a miniscule home security guard;they do have the training to deploy, as attachments, to T-bugs for close protection. Please take only one soldier for each member of your Urban Search & Rescue Team; re-enforcements will be sent in during routine re-supply. These troops also have with them unit badges and national identifiers, for use as pass code items; take these as proof of your success.
CO-ORDINATING INSTRUCTIONS
This is a large sized cache,approx 6 liter size, stored in an OD camouflaged plastic canister, 50cm L x 8.4cm Diameter, which blends in well with its’ coniferous setting.
Due to Operational Security, the above co-ordinates are for the center of the CONCRETE landing pad at LZ ‘Whiskey’.
The Contact Point, where you will RV with the troops, is concealed somewhere within the perimeter of LZ ‘Whiskey’. Beware of patrols on the hard routes to the North, West and south of the LZ. . The cache contains: -24 elite Micro-Commandos;
-Unit Badges and Canadian flag pins
-Pencil, sharpener and micro-log book
-Geocache letter.
As this is a large but narrow cache, please repack accordingly.
Track discipline is not in effect; once you have located the cache, please lay deception trails [winter ops only]. Reconceal appropriately. This location will also be used as a way station for your teams to insert future travel bugs, to assist them on their missions.
