Geocache Description:

Starts 1¾ mile west of Hobo Campground on Old Kern Canyon Road. Hiking info for the trail is as follows: The climb is moderate to steep and passes from open oak/grass woodland with spring wildflowers, through brush fields, to pine/oak forest at the O'Brien Spring Road. 7.4 miles with a 3900' elevation gain.

This is our first cache. It's located approximately 470' from the trailhead. Watch out for snakes during the warmer months. Cache is a clear 2 qt. Rubbermaid canister.

Remington Ridge Trail has some nice sights to see with views of Isabella Lake, Kern Canyon and Kern Plateau can be seen in the higher portion of the trail. It can get pretty warm during the summer months, so if you decide to take this hike, make sure to get an early start!

Happy Geocaching!
