There are several picnic tables and benches in the area, however to guarantee a seat for the duration of the event it may be advisable to bring along a picnic chair.
With the block party rapidly approaching, I thought I would put a message out there on social media to those who have hidden caches, in particular in the northern suburbs. One of the things I noticed from the recent Block Party I attended in Sunbury, VIC was that each and every cache in the local area had an 'owner maintenance' log in the month prior to the event. As a result, I managed to locate every cache in town, (and in good condition too!) and no logbooks needed replacing.
It would be great to showcase our state as one of the best to cache in, by making an effort to try and check in on our hides in the area in next month or so. If you know of hides in the area where the CO is no longer active, maybe we can do a check on their behalf and do a 'write note' to let others know it has been checked on.
There are so many brilliant hides in the area, it would be a shame for our visitors not to see them in their full glory!
If you find a cache out in the field that needs maintenance that you are not able to perform, message me the GC code and I will attempt to reach out to the CO to see if maintenance can be performed prior to the block party weekend.
