La notizia è riportata da La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno solo il 3 marzo del 2002, un anno dopo la scoperta a Trani, precisamente a Capo Colonna, di sepolcri risalenti al IX-VIII secolo a.C.
Durante gli scavi archeologici è emerso uno strano ambiente, al suo interno c’erano due tombe, nella prima sono stati rinvenuti i resti di un maschio adulto inginocchiato con addosso un macigno, nella seconda due adulti fra i venti e quarant’anni e un ragazzo quindicenne, anche loro coperti da un lastrone.
Nelle credenze antiche il masso posto sul morto era un modo per non farlo risorgere e non portare scompiglio fra i vivi, nutrendosi del loro sangue.
Avvistamenti Notturni al Porto: vicino al porto di Trani, i marinai di ritorno dalle loro battute di pesca notturne raccontavano di aver visto alcune figure spettrali apparire sulle banchine nelle ore più buie della notte, emergendo dall’ombra per pochi istanti e poi scomparendo tra le case strette e le vie tortuose del centro storico. queste figure muoversi velocemente, con un’andatura simile a quella di un lupo, ma con tratti umani.
