I am a member of this church and have attended since 2000. I am also a member of the band.
Here are some interesting facts about its history.
1933: The church was founded as Cippenham Free Church, an offshoot of Slough Baptist Church.
1940: The current church building was constructed on Elmshott Lane.
1970s: Three classrooms were added to the building for Sunday school and other events.
Later years: The church became known as Cippenham Baptist Church.
2023: The church celebrated its 90th anniversary.
Cippenham Baptist Church is part of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the Southern Counties Baptist Association.
It maintains a close relationship with its founding congregation, Slough Baptist Church, and also shares its site with Trinity Baptist Church.
The church has strong connections with local schools and supports the work of the Christian Connections in Schools (CCIS).
In addition to worship services, the church engages with the community through various activities, including a "Bumps and Babies" group for expectant and new parents.
The church building offers rooms for hire to community groups.
