Geocache Description:


Take a drive along Highway 99 between the village of Craven on the west end to Highway #6 on the East end.  One will see the wonders that Mother Nature has created in this part of the Qu’Appelle Valley as the Qu‘Appelle River meanders to the East. 

One will see the formation of very young Oxbows along the river.  Also, one can still see the banks of the old Oxbows that have dried up.

The vistas of the landscapes will differ during each season.  See the new growth of the flora as it starts in the Spring, continues through the Summer and in its maturity and vibrant colors in the Fall.  Winter one will a see a quiet peaceful vista under a white blanket of snow.

Various types of Wildlife make this valley their home.  One will mainly see deer, foxes and coyotes many types of birds and water fowl.

Agriculture such as raiising cattle, grain crops and garden vegetables is very prevalent throughout the valley.

Be sure to bring your camera.
