Fences have long been used as functional barriers for protection and herding, and decorative structures in modern times. Early fences were simple, made from natural materials such as stones, hedges, and branches. As people became more advanced, so did the fences. Beautiful wrought iron as decor, electric fences for livestock, and wooden fences for both. Fences have been used as security and boundary marking, from castle walls to private property lines.
This fence is a rather utilitarian chain link fence that divides a strip mall property from an apartment property. Please stay on the public parking side of the fence (the Burlington side).
