The third in a new series of events in Leeds, designed to be a lunchtime natter in a variety of cafés and public spaces in Leeds. Partly this is an excuse to drag me away from my desk and to explore new places rather than heading straight to the usual place! Whether you work in Leeds or are just visiting, it would be great to catch up.
This first one will be held at Bruschetta at The Corn Exchange, Call Lane, Leeds, LS1 7BR, on Friday 5 December 2025 from 12:30pm to 1:15pm.
The Corn Exchange was completed in 1863, and was built in the italianate style. The design of the dome was based on that of the Bourse de Commerce in Paris. The building wasn't viably used as an exchange for long, as it declined significantly in the late 19th century. It has subsequently been developed into independent shops.
Leeds Corn Exchange is fully accessible via the front entrance ramp and there is lift access to all floors. There are accessible toilet facilities on the lower ground floor. You don't need to purchase anything to attend this event even though we'll be sat in the café area.
How to get there:
- By train - Leeds station is an 8 minute walk away.
- By bus - Leeds bus station is a 5 minute walk away.
- By car - The closest multi-storey car park is at Trinity shopping centre, a 6 minute walk away, but it's expensive.
- By boat - Probably not, this time.
