The Francis Small Heritage Trust has made another nice parking area and a new trail up to Devil's Den.
The real adventure is driving to the parking lot!!! The geocache is in Porter, Maine. You must drive up Norton HIll Road which turns into Moody Road. If you use a device that tells you anything else, do not follow it!!! (If you do, you will end up on very old and eroded woodland roads.) The beginning of Norton Hill Road is newly paved (but no street sign is in evidence). After 0.6 miles, the road reverts to gravel and narrow. On top of all of this, I do not know how far the plows will go in the winter.
Anyway, the container itself is right at the trailhead/kiosk/parking lot.
Wear orange during hunting season!! The FSMT had kindly left two orange vests at the kiosk, feel free to borrow them.
Enjoy your hike up to Devil's Den. Be sure to carefully admire the deep crack in the earth (watch the children). Enjoy the view. Visit the old geocache nearby. And check out the cemetery behind the building at the summit..
