This cache is part of a series of hiking caches along northern sections of the
Oregon Coast Trail. This is the Shipwreck Beach section of the trail.

OCT SB01 Peter Iredale
It's best to park in
the Peter Iredale parking lot and walk down the "Beach Access" road to reach
this cache. If continuing the series, proceed down the road to the sharp
west bend, then up the sandy trailhead past some huge vehicle-barrier logs and
onto the trail.
The Cairnsmore was
wrecked in 1883 in what is now Fort Stevens State Park, very close to the site
of the Peter Iredale.
