This cache is part of a series of hiking caches along northern sections of the
Oregon Coast Trail. This is the Shipwreck Beach section of the trail.

To reach the cache,
at the point where the road bends west, climb up the short sandy trailhead and
past some huge vehicle-barrier logs and then to the trail.
The Glenesslin was
wrecked in 1913 at the base of Neahkahnie Mountain. It is one of the most
famous and controversial of the Oregon shipwrecks.
