Giving Thanks to a Geocacher

Without Geocachers creating and maintaining geocaches, wherigos, adventure labs and all the other types of caches there wouldn’t be this fantastic game we play.

Is there a geocacher who has impacted your journey into and during this game? Below is a link to 13 such Geocaches within a 500 mile radius of Mission, TX…

Thank You Caches that are thanking a Geocacher for their efforts to sustain and support Geocaching. Click Here

There’s not even 1 such cache within a 100 mile radius! There’s 1 Thank You Vets GCAD34D within a 200 mile radius. There are 9 Thank You caches within a 300 mile radius (plus the Vet cache makes 10).

I challenge YOU to bring a story to share about a special Geocacher who has helped you AND consider creating a Geocache here in the valley in their honor.

  1. Scrudder – my co-worker at Ted Polk Middle School who got me started Geocaching in 2004.
  2. Crazy4Horses – my friend in Plano, Tx who taught me how to solve puzzle caches and took me on many a caching road trip.
  3. SHARKC – my friends in Twin Falls, ID who helped me create and place my first Geocache and they still maintain it for me.
  4. 8Nuts Mothergoose – we can all thank him for his unfailing support and help in creating, hiding, and finding caches but especially for helping us solve puzzle caches. *Note* it doesn’t say thank you in the title, but https://coord.info/GC9T2Q7 is in honor of 8Nuts Mothergoose being inducted into the Texas Geocahcer’s Association Hall of Fame.

We are a friendly group that enjoy sharing stories of our Geocache experiences. We help each other if we’re having difficulty finding a cache, solving a puzzle or creating and publishing a cache.
