How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
This cache is located in the Oak Forest area. To claim credit, you must email me and tell me what kind of BIRD is in the cage. You don't have to be specific, just the generic name or general description will do.
PLEASE DO NOT POST THE ANSWER IN THE ONLINE LOG
EVEN IF IT IS ENCRYPTED.
A note from the cache owner about logging virtual caches: I know this is an old grandfathered type of cache, but geocaching.com allowed existing virtuals to remain on the site when they disallowed any new ones to be placed. Because of the absence of a physical log on virtual caches, the rule was and still IS that you must fulfill a requirement stated by the cache owner in order to claim a find on a virtual cache. The requirement for this cache is clearly stated in the description:
"To claim credit, you must email me and tell me what kind of BIRD is in the cage. You don't have to be specific, just the generic name or general description will do."
It is YOUR responsibility as a geocacher who sought and found this virtual cache to know this and to do this. Too many cachers lately are doing "group finds" then one person sends the required email for the group, which can be 2 or dozens. It has become too difficult to keep up with who is in which group and if they were in a group that sent a representative email.
So, NO MORE for-the-GROUP emails will be accepted. Each person who logs a find on this cache must send their own email or message to the cache owner, and please do this BEFORE you log this cache as Found.
Found logs will be deleted if not preceded with an email containing the required information.
If you are hindered by time, distance or lack of mobile device features from sending an email, you can post your find as a NOTE while in the field and edit it to a Found Log when you have sent the required email. Thanx for understanding, WCB
