Geocache Description:

Winter in the UK typically starts in December and ends in February. The days are short and cold due to less hours of sunlight. There is less wildlife about but one of the best sights is a bird murmuration when birds like starlings migrate to the UK for winter from colder parts of Europe. Tawny owls can often be heard in winter too.

Winter trees and evergreen provide berries for wildlife and colour amongst bare trees. Rowan, holly. hawthorn and yew berries are all common sights in winter.

Winter weather can be stormy with lots of snow and ice. Snow can be a good place to spot animal tracks. Frost is common in winter when water vapour in the air freezes and tuns directly into ice. Frost can make some amazing fractal patterns on windows and frost on cobwebs can look magical. Icy puddles are a common sight in winter too.

As is usual with a mystery cache, the cache isn't at the given coordinates. All you need to do to get the final coordinates is to solve this jigidi puzzle by clicking the link below which is a photo of an icy puddle on the forest floor which I took last winter.

Icy Puddle (154 pieces)
