The pohutukawa most likely planted in 1870s in the reserve known at that time as Green Hill reserve.
The pohutukawa is the most majestic of NZ trees and this specimen branches out greatly over the generations. We decided to put this protector here as this tree is fun to climb and we felt it needed a good Geocache.
This protector is a unicorn, the most majestic of horses to match the majesty of this Pohutukawa.
The green unicorn only has room for the log and is hidden behind a door. BYOP
