Please join us for the Winter Solstice 2025, (Part Quatre) Celebration at 2 Center Street in Exeter, NH. We of the Northern Hemispherites experience the winter's shortest day, which occurs this year on Sunday December 21 at 10:03 AM. Let's honor the season with a gathering that has occured for 3 years now at Exeter's local watering hole. The solstice is derived from the Latin word solstitium, which means the sun stands still. It is at this time that it reaches the southern-most position as seen from earth. The sun at this moment seems to stand still at the Tropic of Capricorn and then it reverses its direction. It is the official start of the winter season that ends at the March equinox. Purchase is optional, whether food or beverage. The Winter Solstice also marks the astronomical winter. Please RSVP your presence and number so I can somewhat plan table space (understanding that inclement weather can change travel plans in New England!) I am certain you may witness much frivolity and feats of strength (should you choose to do so) in celebration of the start of the festivus season. Cheers!
