What is the ultimate Christmas movie?
That’s a fun question — and a hotly debated one!
It guess it kind of depends on what you mean by ultimate:
- Classic choice: It’s a Wonderful Life (1946) — heartwarming, timeless, and all about gratitude and community.
- Modern classic: Home Alone (1990) — funny, nostalgic, and full of Christmas spirit (and booby traps).
- Comedy gold: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989) — chaotic, quotable, and perfectly captures family holiday madness.
- Animated magic: The Polar Express or The Nightmare Before Christmas — depending if you like cozy or spooky.
- Controversial pick: Die Hard (1988) — if you believe “Christmas movie” just means “set at Christmas,” it’s hard to beat.
Come on out to the Parkway Theater and join us to watch one of these Christmas movies. The ticket charge will be $10 per person and I guarantee that we will have a fantastic time! I have reserved the theater screening Room for Geocachers. We will meet before the movie to talk caching and will be hanging out after the movie as well.
Hope to see you all there.
