Bristow Park, a relatively quiet park in the town, is located at the corner of First Street and Industrial Drive in Elmira. It was always envisioned as a community park – something a little different from the bigger parks that are home to playgrounds and splash pads which generally cater to families with small children -- and in 2013 Council approved the addition of a skate park to the location. This still left enough area for walkways, memorial trees, benches and arbors – a nice secluded spot to sit and enjoy the spot. The park also is home to a building for Woolwich Youth Soccer and a community garden.
As you enter from parking on First Street you will walk through an arbor which takes you to a circular walkway with trees that are planted in memory of some long-time residents of the town. You'll want to collect information from four of these memorial plaques to find the final coordinates for this cache.
Find the four plaques/signs for Howlett, Good, Prentice and Bolender. Take the year from each of these plaques, add them together (checksum is 11), and divide by 1000. Subtract this number from the bogus North coordinates, and add it to the bogus West coordinates to get the final coordinates.
Bogus coordinates: N 43 43.540 W 080 25.573
Cache is a 3D printed container containing a logbook.
