The Manitoba Memorial Trail pays tribute
to Manitoba geocachers who have passed away.
Gloria (of Peter and Gloria)
(active 2004 - 2022)
Gloria cached as part of Peter and Gloria and together they found their first geocache (GC6AF0) in April 2004 in Birds Hill Park. Gloria's last find was GC9TPDA on May 23 2022. Her husband Peter continues to be a very active cacher in the Manitoba geocaching community and has found over 23000 caches and created 172 hides. Over the years, this prolific caching team has given out 1795 favourite points and earned 356 souvenirs.
Gloria and Peter loved to cache while traveling (or travel while caching) and they have found caches in all the Canadian provinces and territories, all 50 US states, as well as the countries of Columbia and Panama. They also like to collect US counties in their travels and have cached in 1632 of 3150 counties, including all the counties in 16 different states. They have traveled to 5 mega events in MO, MN, MB, AZ and TX, as well as Geocaching Headquarters in Seattle and the Original Cache location in Oregon.
Gloria is missed by the Manitoba geocaching community.
