The Manitoba Memorial Trail pays tribute
to Manitoba geocachers who have passed away.
wally_k
(active 2005 - 2024)
wally_k found his first geocache (GCE646) in 2005. He found 3265 caches. The last cache he found was GCAPD72, an event in the Windsor Park area on May 2 2024. Wally enjoyed attending caching events, attending 207 over the years, including one Mega-event.
An avid cyclist, the majority of Wally's cache finds were found after he rode his bicycle to each of them. It was quite common for him to arrive at events on his trusty bike.
He also hid two caches (accumulating 20 favourite points), hosted three geocaching events, and created several Adventure Lab adventures for the community to enjoy.
wally_k is missed by the Manitoba geocaching community.
Please feel free to include your memories about this cacher or their caches in your log entry.
The Manitoba Memorial Trail would not be possible without the generous contributions of margaretgary, dani_carriere, Lord Yorlik, and ernie&bert&elmo&grover. Thank you!
