Cache is a 50 caliber ammunition can hidden in relatively plain sight. Please note that our GPS accuracy was 17ft when the coordinates were noted.
The area is south of Paseo del Norte/Ventana Ranch and west of Universe Blvd. Driving to the cache site is not possible though you will be able to get close. There are dirt roads on all four sides of the hiding place, so parking is not a problem. A four-wheel drive vehicle is not required, but higher clearance may be necessary depending upon the direction from which you approach the hiding spot. Original cache contents are:
- A baggie of dog bones. Please treat your companion to a snack and leave some for future visitors;
- 3 dog bone key chains (1 red, 1 purple, 1 gold);
- 2 Hot Wheels cars in their packages;
- 2 ZUM stickers;
- 1 Pirelli lanyard;
- 1 mini pocket knife;
- 1 emergency hooded poncho;
- 1 Matco pocket screw driver;
- 1 alien beanie toy;
- 1 California raisen;
- 1 yellow Firebird Micro Machine;
- 1 "I Ate a Bug Club" pin;
- 1 beanie lizard;
- 1 Onyx Stegosaurus;
- 1 mini RC car with remote;
- 1 Ty beanie Elephant;
- 1 bag, green/orange marbles.
Please take care to replace the cache in such a way that it will remain hidden from casual view. Also, please note that the area is heavily trafficed at times so be aware of observers!
