Happy Day B4Pi Day, Geo-Buddies!
Solve puzzles together Friday morning for your Pi Day souvenirs thru the weekend.
NOTE VENUE CHANGE to Old Town Coffee a short distance from the original Worldgate location because the WG lobby really isn't the easiest place to work together on puzzles.
2026 is the 250th anniversary of US independence in 1776 so that's the theme for this year, even on Pi Day Weekend (and later this year, on Talk Like a Pirate Day). Trackables and other geocache-related things for others to discover/take are OK, but not the focus: since you have to FIND mystery caches for the Pi Day Souvenir this year we're focusing on puzzle-solving.*
Mini-cachers, family, friends, the caching-curious, the caching-retired, visiting geocachers, and friendly muggles all welcome. Eat/drink/don't, your call. No purchase necessary but BYO$ for anything you do want and please don't bring outside food/drinks.
Location is a shared space for Old Town Coffee & Moo Thru Ice Cream. Verbal permission from very friendly coffee-side manager Frank.
Coffee place has various drinks including tea and some light food items and is open early morning through mid-late afternoon. Ice cream side will NOT be open yet.
Plenty of free parking in front or on the side. There's a ramp on the side of the building.
^^ Picky's Purple Pi Day Geocoin (the actual one) is expected to be present for (re)discovery :)
* I'd had a Pi Day event at Worldgate approved since December but since HQ decided Pi Day event attendance will ***NOT*** earn you the Pi Day Souvenir (see https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2025/12/confirmed-souvenir-moments-in-2026/ ) and since I don't need Pi Day for my event calendar, moved this to Friday the 13th since I was going to have an event then anyway. And changing it from a generic "talk about Pi Day" event to a puzzle-solving event.
