Kameno svjedočanstvo Trogira – Gradska Lođa

📍 Mjesto:
Gradska Lođa nalazi se na glavnom trgu Trogira (Trg Ivana Pavla II), u srcu povijesnog centra upisanog na UNESCO-ov popis svjetske baštine.

 

🏛 Povijesni značaj:
Lođa potječe iz 15. stoljeća i bila je središte javnog života – mjesto sudova, okupljanja i objava. Ukrašena je reljefima majstora poput Nikole Firentinca i Ivana Meštrovića. Trogir je poznat po kombinaciji gotike, renesanse i baroka.

 

🪨 Geološki aspekt:
Građevina je izgrađena od lokalnog vapnenca, tipičnog za dalmatinsku obalu. Ovaj kamen nastao je u razdoblju mezozoika (kreda), kada je područje bilo dio Jadranske karbonatne platforme. Intenzivna karstifikacija u regiji uzrokovala je nastanak izvora (npr. Pantan) i utjecala na urbanizaciju Trogira.

The City Loggia is located on the main square of Trogir (Trg Ivana Pavla II), in the heart of the historic center listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The Loggia dates back to the 15th century and was the center of public life – a place for courts, gatherings, and announcements. It is decorated with reliefs by masters such as Nikola Firentinac and Ivan Meštrović. Trogir is known for its combination of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles.

 

🪨 Geological Aspect:
The building is constructed from local limestone, typical of the Dalmatian coast. This stone formed during the Mesozoic era (Cretaceous period) when the area was part of the Adriatic carbonate platform.
