LHR-GT #11: Lockport Riverwalk

The Lock Haven Levee Trail, also known as the William Clinger Riverwalk, is a 2.25-mile paved pathway along the West Branch Susquehanna River in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, offering scenic views and a peaceful environment for walking, running, and biking. Built atop the city’s protective levee, the well-lit trail includes convenient amenities such as benches, trash receptacles, and multiple access points from East and West Water Streets, making it easily accessible from downtown and nearby neighborhoods. The river played a pivotal role in the region’s lumber boom, serving as a transportation corridor for historic log drives that carried vast quantities of timber downstream to mills and markets, helping fuel the local economy in the 19th century. At its western end, visitors can enjoy a recreational pavilion with a bathhouse and sandy beach area, making the trail a safe, comfortable, and inviting destination for both relaxation and outdoor activity. TO FIND THIS CACHE, make your way to the Lockport Riverwalk and look for the signature LHR signpost. Use the lock code 5422 to open the container and access the logbook. Once complete, please replace everything exactly as you found it. Thanks!

TO OPEN THE LOCK, insert the four-digit combination and press the button on the front to release the shackle. Remove the lock at an angle, or by closing the shackle in the 'unlocked' position and sliding it diagonally. Once complete, replace the lock from right to left, ensuring the button is facing the front for the next cacher. Thanks.
