Full of history and natural beauty, Pennsylvania’s Lumber Heritage Region spans 4.2 million acres across 15 counties. LHR-GT #20: Rock Run Recreation Area

Located in Northern Cambria and Southern Clearfield Counties, Rocks Run Recreation Area is a large-scale outdoor destination offering more than 140 miles of trails across the Allegheny Mountains. What began as a smaller trail system has steadily evolved through volunteer efforts and regional support into a diverse network accommodating a wide range of skill levels, from gentle family-friendly routes to more rugged terrain. In addition to its expansive trail system, the area includes scenic overlooks, camping facilities, and community events that reflect its role as a gathering place for outdoor recreation and regional connection within Pennsylvania’s Lumber Heritage landscape. TO FIND THIS CACHE, make your way to Rock Run Recreation Area. If the gate is shut, you may park at the listed waypoint below and make the short walk up the hill (permission has been granted from the property owner to access the cache outside of normal seasonal hours). You are looking for a small birdhouse-style container located on the LHR signpost - if you've done any other caches on this GeoTour is should look familiar. Use 6267 to access the logbook, and please replace everything as found.

TO OPEN THE LOCK, insert the four-digit combination and press the button on the front to release the shackle. Remove the lock at an angle, or by closing the shackle in the 'unlocked' position and sliding it diagonally. Once complete, replace the lock from right to left, ensuring the button is facing the front for the next cacher. Thanks.
