Sgraffito na Willi pod Sową Multi-Cache

Sgraffito to technika zdobienia, która w architekturze polega na nałożeniu kilku warstw tynku o różnym zabarwieniu, a następnie wydrapaniu w wierzchniej warstwie rysunku. W Rzeszowie są trzy przykłady zastosowania tej techniki na historycznych budynkach: na kamienicy przy Sobieskiego 5, na kamienicy przy Sokoła 6 oraz na Willi pod Sową, do której prowadzą współrzędne startowe tej skrytki.

Techniką sgraffito wykonano zegar słoneczny znajdujący się na fasadzie tej pięknej willi.

Budynek jest dziełem Tadeusza Tekielskiego, krakowianina, ucznia Teodora Talowskiego. Willę pod Sową Tekielski zbudował dla siebie i swojej rodziny. I sowa, i zegar słoneczny mają świadczyć o melancholijnej naturze architekta.

Sgraffito is a decorative technique which, in architecture, consists of applying several layers of plaster in different colors and then scratching a design into the top layer. In Rzeszów, there are three examples of this technique used on historic buildings: on the townhouse at 5 Sobieskiego Street, on the townhouse at 6 Sokoła Street, and on the Villa Under the Owl, to which the starting coordinates of this cache lead.

A sundial located on the façade of this beautiful villa was made using the sgraffito technique.

The building is the work of Tadeusz Tekielski, a Cracovian and student of Teodor Talowski. Tekielski built the Villa Under the Owl for himself and his family. Both the owl and the sundial are meant to reflect the melancholic nature of the architect.

The inscription on the sundial reads: Vides horam, nescis horam (You see the hour, you do not know the hour).
