Geocache Description:

On January 12th 1992, Troy State University played a college game against DeVroy University, an NAIA team that typcially struggled to field competitive teams in its athletics. The game, while appearing to be a seemingly unremarkable college basketball contest, ended up setting and breaking a number of records, some of which remain unbroken to this day.

Do some simple research about this famous NCAA basketball game to get the cache coordinates. As is the case with some other sports themed mystery caches, this game is something interesting to me so I wanted to make a puzzle cache about it so others could learn something about it too. Hope you enjoy.

Troy State won the game with a final score of 25C - 14B. The combined point total was the most between two teams in NCAA basketball history.

Troy State eclipsed 100 points with E:14 left in the first half.

Troy State attempted 10A 3-point shots in the game, a record which was eventually broken in 2022.

Troy State broke a record by scoring 123 points in the first half, at the time a record for points in any half of an NCAA game. They then broke their own record minutes later by scoring 13F points in the second half.

Despite being on the losing end, DeVry player Dartez Daniel actually led all scorers in the game with D2 points.
