Geocache Description:

Welcome to Orange

Geocaching NSW would like to extend an invitation to all geocachers to travel to the Orange area in the beautiful Central Tablelands region of NSW for our 2026 Expedition during the weekend of the 20th-22nd March 2026.

Orange is around 250 km west of Sydney, and about a four hour drive from Sydney. Why not come along and make a long weekend of it, perhaps as a stop-over on your way home from the Tassie Mega Event in Sorell on the 7th-8th March.

There are lots of fabulous geocaches to be found in this region so why not team up with a few friends and enjoy a fantastic period of geocaching fun.

On the Saturday afternoon, we will meet at Cook Park for an enjoyable get-together.

Event details are as follows:

Date: Saturday, 21st March, 2026

Venue: Cook Park, Orange

Time: 4:00pm to 5:00pm

How to Find Us: Just look for the Geocaching NSW banner by the rotunda.

What to Wear: Something orange ... maybe an orange shirt, scarf, hat, socks, tutu, sarong or an orange coat of invisibility.  Dig out your orange gear, get creative and come dressed to impress, Orange style!

What to Bring: Please BYO all personal food and drink requirements. A portable chair might also be a good idea.

Refreshments: BYO coffee/tea or snacks. There may be minimal snacks.

Photo: The official Expedition Group Photograph will be taken at some point during the event so we hope you can be there for that.

Cook Park

There is accommodation available around the Orange region. An internet search will come up with a number of options for you to choose from.

Events are a great way to meet new people and make new friends with a common interest, pick up the latest information on equipment, techniques and software and share stories about the latest caching adventure. You may even pick up a hint or two on those annoying DNFs.

Please post a “Will Attend” log and add this event to your watchlist so that you will receive any announcements that are made. If you have any questions, please contact us at: contact@geocachingnsw.asn.au
