Geocache Description:

The wheel of the year is turning - come join us to celebrate the Summer Solstice on December 21,10.30am - 11.30am, at Cafe 116, The Pillars, 91 Milson Line, PN.

Even though we still have the main summer weather ahead of us, this is the  longest day and from now on the days will slowly begin to shorten. This day marks the Astronomical start to summer, based on the position of the Earth in relation to the Sun.This is a time of year when the weather and holiday time often mean the greatest opportunities for geocaching. What is your geocaching focus during the summer?

From Geocaching Blog, May 28 2024:

Geocaching HQ has a special souvenir available to celebrate the December Solstice (Summer for us in the Southern Hemisphere, Winter in the Northern Hemisphere) and it is available just for 19-22 December. You will qualify if you attend an Event, find a geocache or AdLab location during that time.
