Atmosféra nejzazšího římského limesu, o němž se tisíciletí nevědělo, na úpatí Ještědu bude spíše než drsným bojištěm hravou směsicí kultur a setkáním civilizací. Tady legionář z Ravenny učí germánské lovce používat lžíci, jen o kousek vedle nabízí slovanský obchodník rodákovi z Mediolanu pochybný suvenýr se zajisté pravými runovými symboly a opodál galský kameník funí pod tíhou svého právě opracovaného menhiru, zatímco jej nechápavě pozorují dva pretoriáni z Nikomédie. Elegance, vznešenost a řád Říma se tu mísí s nezkrotnou energií barbarských kmenů.

Divoká atmosféra pohraničí potkává římskou okázalost a vytváří jedinečné kulisy pro geocachingové dobrodružství. Inu, půjde o setkání, které byste si rozhodně neměli nechat ujít!

Roman Empire – On the Northern Frontier of the Imperium

A chilly autumn in the Liberec Valley, surrounded by misty forests and enclosed by mountains whose peaks are hidden in the clouds. According to our historians, this is where civilization flourished in ancient times!

We invite everyone to a meeting in the northernmost outpost of the ancient empire, the city of Liberec – a place where fearless Romans with their spa culture, wine, and precise military organization, try their best to appear as if they have everything under control and are prospering...while Slavs, Germans, and Gauls from the surrounding woods watch with mild amusement at what southern exotics have wandered onto their territory.

The atmosphere of the remotest Roman limes, forgotten for a millennium, at the foot of Mount Ještěd will be less a harsh battlefield and more a playful blend of cultures and a meeting of civilizations. Here, a legionnaire from Ravenna teaches Germanic hunters how to use a spoon; nearby, a Slavic merchant offers a dubious souvenir – adorned with allegedly genuine runic symbols – to a visitor from Mediolanum, and not far away, a Gallic stonemason strains beneath the weight of his freshly carved menhir, while two praetorians from Nicomedia watch him in confusion. The elegance, nobility, and order of Rome mingle here with the untamed energy of the barbarian tribes.

The wild spirit of the frontier meets Roman grandeur and creates a unique setting for a geocaching adventure. Truly, it will be a gathering you should not miss!
