For this winter's caches here at Green Lakes I thought I would provide some facts about this great park.
The lack of physical mixing of the water, as well as the absence of growing plants or crawling animals in their oxygen-depleted depths, the deep bottoms of the lakes have relatively undisturbed annual layers of sediment that preserve a historical record.
