Great Western Park GeoCache Series
After our recently placed GeoCache Series at Great Western Park (GWP) (cache #1-11, 14, 17) and in central Didcot (cache #12-13, 15-16), we decide to place a few more caches at GWP and in other parts of Didcot. We hope you enjoy these new caches, thank you!
Great Western Park #18 - GWP South
This cache is placed at GWP South, the newer phases of Great Western Park development. Many new houses have been built, plus a new primary school and a community centre in recent years. It also has a small playground where my GeoKids played a lot during COVID when they were little. We also frequently visit the nearby GWP Southern Community Centre for birthday parties and events. The entire Great Western Park estate development is expected to complete in 2026.
There are also several scenery footpaths from GWP South to nearby villages including Coscote and West Hagbourne. Many local dog walkers use these paths regularly.
About this GeoCache:
This cache is a bison tube and placed behind a tree. Please be safe and expect muggles at most time of the day. If coming by car, please drive and park carefully and considerately, and respect the local residents.
Please also note:
Please bring your own pen, and open & close the cache lid carefully so the cache and log book can survive longer. You might need a tweezer to help retrieve the log paper.
Please also replace exactly as found due to obvious reason, and be careful with possible thorns, stinging nettles, and overhead tree branches! Long sleeves, trousers, and gloves are recommended.
You do not need to cross any fence or enter any private land.
