The 250th Anniversary Celebration of the Battle of Great Bridge is being held on December 6th and in cooperation with the museum staff I am rescheduling this CITO event to December 7th. The reenactment and wreath laying ceremonies would not have allowed us to have any parking spaces or room to set up our check in/check out station, etc. I hope that some of you will still be able to attend on Sunday vs. Saturday and I apologize for any inconvenience.
I'm hosting my first event at the Great Bridge Battlefield & Waterways Historic Park. There are many geocaches here and it is a great opportunity for the GCHR community to show their appreciation for this park. The Cache In Trash Out event is scheduled for two hours but I will be there for about 3 hours total if anyone wants to join me in finding a cache or two after the event concludes. I will have trash bags and some gloves for you to use as well as a case of water for everyone to stay hydrated. I will be setting up a table and a pop-up canopy between the parking lot and the trail head to greet everyone and collect the trash. Look forward to seeing you all there.
