Im Jahr 1996 erblickte "Fenster zum Hof" von den Stieber Twins das Licht der Welt. Rückblickend schufen die beiden Brüder aus Heidelberg mit diesem Album einen Meilenstein im deutschen Hip Hop. Unverkennbar sind die Einflüsse aus dem US-Rap der Ostküste ebenso wie die aus Jazz und Funk. Die Hauptbotschaft der Platte ist: Authentizität. Diese zieht sich wie ein roter Faden durch das Album.
Im Titeltrack "Fenster zum Hof" befindet sich dementsprechend eine meiner Lieblingszeilen: "..bin ich lieber ehrlich der Letzte als durch Beschiss der Beste.." Neben dem Album soll es in diesem Cache wie immer auch um das Plattencover gehen.

In 1996, Fenster zum Hof by the Stieber Twins saw the light of day. Looking back, the two brothers from Heidelberg created a milestone in German hip hop with this album. The influences of US East Coast rap are unmistakable, as are those of jazz and funk. The album’s central message is authenticity. This runs like a red thread throughout the entire record.
Accordingly, the title track “Fenster zum Hof” contains one of my favorite lines: “..I’d rather honestly be the last than be the best through cheating..”
