GOAL! - Everton
Welcome to Goal! In this series, there is one geocache hidden at the stadiums of the Top 20 football clubs in the history of the Premier League (as of the end of 2020). To find the eventual bonus cache, you will have to take note of the bonus numbers on the logbook. Good luck!
Notably, this is the first cache in the GOAL! series to have been placed at Hill Dickinson Stadium, following on from the three now-archived traditional caches which were placed at Goodison Park, the club's home ground from 1892 to 2025.
As one of the founding members of both the Football League in 1888 and the Premier League in 1992, Everton have a rich and storied history befitting of a cache on this series. Whilst the club may have faced relegation battles, points deductions and unstable ownership in recent seasons, supporters have always been able to proudly point back to the high points of the club's history, which has included 15 major honours to date. Unlike other clubs who can pinpoint the specific periods of success in their history, Everton's periods of success have appeared in patches from Dixie Dean's 60 goal season in 1927/28 to the glory years of legendary managers Harry Catterick and Howard Kendall. Nontheless, the club has been a mainstay of English football's top flight, holding the record for most seasons in the top flight, having only played four seasons outside the top flight since its creation in 1888.
This cache will bring you to the club's new home at Bramley-Moore Dock. To obtain the final coordinates, you must first identify the inscription on the dock wall surrounding the stadium which states "Bramley-Moore Dock ABCD", with ABCD representing a year which you will need to note when calculating the final coordinates. Checksum = 21.

Once you have obtained the final coordinates, you will be able to find the cache (a magnetic nano) within a five minute walk of the posted coordinates. I would recommend attempting this cache on a non-matchday to avoid the heavy foot traffic in the area but it is available to find on both matchdays and non-matchdays. Please be wary of your surroundings when attempting this cache and also remember to record the bonus cache information.
