Geocache Description:


It's time for the
Fifteenth Annual Mantua "Sledding" Event!!


Where: Pavilion near the Mantua Reservoir dock
Date: Thursday, January 1, 2026
Start Time: 1 pm
End Time: Officially - 2 pm, but people could be there longer depending on how chatty everyone is and how cold it is.




Hot chocolate will be provided. If you would like to bring some doughnuts or other tasty treats, please do so and post so that we know what to expect.


Bring your own sled/tube/skiis/snowboard/etc and dress warmly. There may not be snow but it will certainly be cold!

Please take note of the new location. Since Mantua City is still enforcing their "no on-street parking" policy, we can no longer hold this event at the sledding hill. We will meet again at the pavilion near the Mantua docks. This has worked well the last couple years as it has tables and some shelter from the elements while providing a small hill for the kiddos to sled on (if there's snow.) The event is our typical meet 'n greet with hot chocolate and tasty treats.)
